Beta Players in an uproar

Most of my guild has been in the TR beta since the spring and be warned - they just pushed through a massive game-changing patch that has sent the beta community into an uproar.

The game has gone from fast-paced, awesome action (something nice!) and battles to a really agonizing grind (hello most MMOs). Moreover numerous bugs, errors, and comments are getting pushed aside. It really feels like they are being hammered about getting this game out on time rather than putting out an exciting, quality product.

Please be warned before plunking down your money for this.

you mean they changed the whole gameplay?

is this to be a lasting change? are there any official statements?

please keep us up to date because i'm really really looking forward to this game and would be realy sad if there was such a huge change in the overall gameplay

It's still very fast-paced for an mmo and it doesnt really feel as a "normal" grind at all like in other mmo's. Leveling only from quests all the way, havent had a single grinding-session as of yet. (Except from at level 30 ofcourse since there's no zones with quests for that level and up in the beta yet.) So far I find it very entertaining as a game atleast, how good the game will be as a mmorpg cant really be determined before people starts doing the endgame stuff, if clan-wars are a huge success or not. Even if it's still very bugged at release, give it a few months to set things straight and im pretty confident they will get their stuff together. Noone has ever released a mmorpg thats perfectly completed and without bugs at all. I for one will be buying it, even if it gets boring after a few weeks at max-level it's still worth the money in my opinion, they'll get it fun again sooner or later.

The new patch (October 9th) did alot of major change. Overall game is harder, thus funnier in the long run.

We now feel at war with the bane(instead of streamrolling mob that wiper earth somewhat easily...).

While there is still alot of bug to fix, I see the class getting more finess / role ingame. While you can still solo outside, you can't jump into frontline without being beaten... and it's nice to see.
